A very busy fall in 2018 turned a very busy winter of contract negotiations and ratification meetings for UFCW Local 247 members.

At Stong’s, members strongly ratified a new contract in voting on November 26 and 27^th, 2018. 

The new contract has many improvements for Grid “B” members, including a new dental package and a much-improved wage scale.

During negotiations, the company had been seeking many concessions from all employees, and mostly from the current Grid “A” employees. Despite this, the Union Negotiating Committee was able to maintain and/or improve upon the original contract, including future ATO positions.
