UFCW Canada launches ‘Respect Frontline Workers’ campaign

Toronto – March 20, 2024 – UFCW Canada continues to lead the way in protecting the health and safety of members across the country. To address the growing issue of threats, abuse, harassment and even violence, UFCW Canada is launching our new Respect Frontline Workers campaign.

The new multi-faceted campaign will encourage members to tell their stories of what they are facing on the frontlines, and help members deal with these issues through our innovative online learning platform, webCampus.

Select first-hand accounts provided by members will be used as part of the campaign to highlight what public-facing workers go through daily to the rest of Canada and government officials.

In the coming months we will be bringing social media attention to the campaign through our national channels, in addition to advocating the government for increased protections for members and providing resources and webCampus offerings on the topic for members to access.

Access UFCW Canada’s Respect Frontline Workers campaign here.

On the campaign page, you can leave your story on what you may have seen or witnessed in our communities.

Across the country, UFCW Canada members have the power to speak up about health and safety issues without fear of reprisal. Workers who know their health and safety rights possess the knowledge needed to positively shape their workplace and protect the health and safety of themselves and their co-workers.
