Manufacturing workers at Groupe Lacasse join the union – UFCW 1991P

Montreal – August 16, 2021 – Manufacturing workers at Groupe Lacasse Inc. are the newest members to join UFCW 1991P after receiving certification from the Administrative Labour Tribunal (TAT).

“I would like to give a warm welcome to the workers of Groupe Lacasse after choosing to join our local union,” says UFCW 1991P President Mario Maisonneuve. “By choosing to join the union, these workers change the balance of power towards building a strong and united voice when negotiating.”

The new members work in the office chair manufacturing division and joined the union to improve wages, scheduling and working conditions.
