Food processing members at Donald’s Fine Foods increase wages, shift premiums – UFCW 1518

Richmond, B.C. – October 12, 2021 – Members at Donald’s Fine Foods in Richmond, British Columbia ratified a new collective agreement that increases wages, shift premiums, benefits and pension contributions.

The new five-year contract comes with annual wage increases totaling 15% in the life of the collective agreement, in addition to a new night shift premium and classification for non-certified tradesperson.

The contract also includes increased limits for boot allowance, medical notes and eyewear. Bargaining committee members also secured increases to training premiums, RRSP contributions, bereavement leave and jury duty. The new contract was ratified with nearly 70% approval.
