St. John’s, N.L. – UFCW 1252 member and Centre for Nursing Studies student Emma Diamond is the latest recipient of the BDM scholarship award which she intends to use towards a successful first year of post-secondary education. 

“I am very grateful to receive this scholarship and expand my knowledge in the medical field,” says the first-year nursing student. “Through this award I hope to help others in my future career as a Licensed Practical Nurse.”

The UFCW Canada – BDM Scholarship offers a total of $18,000 in scholarships to UFCW Canada members and their families and is one of more than 25 union scholarships available to members and their relatives every year, totaling more than $300,000 in support.
