In response to the current BC wildfire situation, UFCW 247 is activating a one-time $450 emergency relief payment for active members displaced by evacuation orders in the affected provincial regions. We recognize the tremendous impact that the wildfires have had on our members and the added financial stress of being evacuated from their homes.

This one-time relief payment aims to alleviate some of the burden associated with the additional costs of being displaced from their home due to evacuation orders.

Active UFCW Local 247 members who live in areas that have been served an evacuation order starting in August 2026 can apply by filling out the application form here.

Applications will be reviewed by UFCW 247 staff and members can expect a follow-up email within 2-3 business days. Please ensure you have filled out the application form in its entirety; the required information serves to verify your membership and your address, as impacted by the evacuation order.
