UFCW “Walk Across Canada” for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada

UFCW Canada has accepted the challenge to join a virtual Walk Across Canada fundraiser in support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC)!

Since 1985, our UFCW Canada family of members and Local Unions has raised more than $45.1 million for the LLSC, including through Light the Night events typically held this time of year. But Light the Night events have been cancelled for 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

So, this season the LLSC has challenged UFCW Canada members and their Local Unions to “Walk Across Canada” – a fundraising activity that involves members, either as individuals or with members of their social circle, collectively walking, cycling, or running a total of 7,821 kms.

The timeline for the “UFCW Challenge” is October 5 to November 9. UFCW Canada has proudly endorsed this challenge. Stay tune for details on how you and you team can join the challenge and help fundraise for the lifechanging work of the LLSC. You can also find out more at www.lightthenight.ca.
