Our last (planned) BBQ event of the year! Roughly

Our last (planned) BBQ event of the year! Roughly 60 UFCW Local 247 members from the Pitt Meadows area enjoyed food, refreshments, and heaps of information about their union. These events drive union awareness "where members are at" -- sharing information about everything from scholarships to bargaining and benefits.We are so grateful to the stewards and staff who came out and lent a hand, and an especially big shout out goes to our Engagement Committee members, who push these projects forward and have such a key role in making them a reality.This is one important step along our path towards greater member engagement at our local, and it's always hardworking and caring people who make it all happen!

Today's Union BBQ at the Marine Drive Superstore was our biggest yet!It was so great to see warehouse and retail union members from Loblaw and Safeway locations come together to enjoy some food and get more information about their union.Our union BBQs are just one more way we're bringing our union to UFCW Local 247 members.Our last BBQ of the summer is happening at the Pitt Meadows Superstore tomorrow.
