Scholarship Winners Announced

Every year Local 247 grants four* $500 scholarships to union members and/or their dependents.  This year’s winners are:

Shane Tilbury whose father Paul is employed at Safeway #4912 in Langley (George Johnston Memorial Scholarship) 

Jordan Lee whose father Gary works at Superstore #1560 in North Vancouver (Staci Carich and Jim Smith Memorial Scholarship 1) 

Akashdeep Bajwa whose mother Kulwant works at Superstore #1531 in Vernon (Staci Carich and Jim Smith Memorial Scholarship 2)

* This year there were no applicants for the Hugo Tims Memorial Scholarship.
