2013 Scholarship Winners Announced

Every year Local 247 grants four $500 scholarships to union members and/or their dependents.  This year’s winners are:

 

• · Jessy Tavares whose mother Margaret works at the Osoyoos Plant of BC Tree Fruits Co-op (Hugo Tims Memorial Scholarship)

 

• · Brett Westhaver employed at Extra Foods #8551 in Maple Ridge (George Johnston Memorial Scholarship)

 

• · Marisa Yip whose mother Helen works at Superstore #1556 (Staci Carich and Jim Smith Memorial Scholarship 1)

 

• · Abigayle Boer whose mother Marieta works at Superstore #1521 (Staci Carich and Jim Smith Memorial Scholarship 2)
