Safeway Ratification Meetings Vancouver Island, Okanagan, Kootenays, North & North Coast- Dates and Locations
The following are the meetings dates and locations for the Safeway Ratification Meetings for all of our out of town locations on Vancouver Island and in the Okanagan, Kootenays North and North Coast
Local 247 members employed at Safeway may attend and vote at any 1 of the meeting locations for their area.
Members may also attend and vote at any meeting location in the Province.
Members who are voting out of their area will be treated as a challenge ballot until such time as their identification is confirmed and cross checked for duplication with the voting list from their area.
The Memorandum of Agreement will not be distributed before the meetings and will only be available at the meeting locations.
Voting poles will be open during the times listed for your meeting location.
Voting by proxy or mail is not permissible.
Please make every effort to come out and attend the meeting, hear the explanations regarding the proposed settlement, and vote.

Each meeting will begin promptly at the time listed above for your location. Please make sure that you arrive for registration and are seated in the meeting room prior to the start time. Registration will be open a half hour prior to the start time in each meeting location.
The memorandum of settlement will be available and distributed only at the designated meeting locations. At the start time listed for your meeting location a condensed presentation and overview of the settlement will take place and voting will open approximately 15 to 20 minutes later.
A full presentation of the settlement will immediately follow including questions at the conclusion. The voting poll will remain open until the time listed for your meeting location. Members may vote at any time after the conclusion of the condensed presentation and up to the close of poll listed in each location and as listed above. Once a member has cast their ballot they should leave the meeting room and voting area. The votes will be counted after the conclusion of the last meetings on Thursday evening and will be announced shortly after.
